The year of 2011 will be remembered as the year that the Air Jordan became relevant again. The signature sneaker of the Jordan line made a triumphant return this year. The epic Jordan 2011 that was released this year made the it cool to wear Air Jordans again. The high performance designs and aesthetically pleasing look that this shoe was dropped with instantly made it one of the most sought after pair of kicks of the year. It also immediately created a legacy for itself. In addition to the Jordan Q Flight, a shoe that took the elements of the 2011 and added Nike Hyperfuse, another shoe that’s origins are directly related to this shoe has released.
The new Jordan A Flight is the second version of the Jordan 2011 and also takes it’s innovative technology design. This is a landmark shoe. For the first time ever, the Nike Flywire technology will be used on the upper of a Jordan shoe. The Nike Flywire-embedded synthetic base is used on the upper to create maximum lightweight support. A full grain leather wraps around the lateral and medial sides of the shoe’s upper. A inner-sleeve is used to provide a snug fit while a midfoot shank adds support. Mesh is used to fill in around the collar area while the Jumpman logo is placed on the shoe’s upper near the heel area.
Several colorways of the Jordan A Flight have already dropped with several more set to release in November. The first colorway to drop was a White/Black version and uses Black patent leather that wraps around the sides of the shoe. The Flywire infused upper is done in a clean White. The shoe’s midsole is also done in Black while the solid rubber elephant print outsole uses White. The Jumpman logo is seen on both the shoe’s upper and tongue.
This new Jordan shoe is the third version of the Jordan 2011 and takes on another dimension of the innovative Nike technologies that are used on other various models of both Nike and Jordan Brand that have been released. The highest in performance design standards were used in the creation of this shoe. A shoe that is also placed at a very affordable price point. The Jordan A Flight retails for $120.
This new pair of Jordan shoes for basketball are a strong addition to an already strong class of the most recognizable basketball signature sneaker line. And it all started with the Jordan 2011.
